There are numerous public courses in the area that can be played without denting the wallet. We’ll take a look at the Abacoa Golf Club, the Golf Club of Jupiter, and Jupiter Dunes Golf Course.

1. Abacoa Golf Club

The last golf course designed by legendary architect Joe Lee, the Abacoa Golf Club is one of the best courses to play in South Florida and the local area.

The sloping fairways and the views of the lake, combined with trees, and perfectly manicured greens make this course one of the most enjoyable to play. The 14th and 18th holes are surrounded by water and make for a scenic, yet challenging play.

The course will challenge players of all playing abilities and unlike many courses in Florida which are flat, Abacoa has many elevation changes to add to the challenge and enjoyment!

How Much Does It Cost at Abacoa Golf Course?

Note that all the prices are for a single person greens fee and driving cart.

Until May 2, you can play Monday through Thursday from 7 am until noon for $95. The price goes down to $85 for tee times noon to 4 pm, and $65 after 4 pm. Friday through Sunday and holidays, the fees are $105, $95, and $75, respectively.

From May 3 through May 30 the prices Monday through Thursday are $85 from 7 am until noon, $75 between noon and 4 pm, and $65 after 4 pm. Weekends and holidays are $95, $85, and $70.

The prices continue to go down as the year unfolds. From May 31 through July 11, enjoy play Monday through Thursday for $65 from 7 am until noon, $60 from noon through 4 pm, and $45 after 4 pm. The weekend and holiday rates are $75, $70, and $50.

For the best prices of the year, head to the course from July 12 through October 3 for $65, $60, and $45 dollars Monday through Thursday. Weekend and holiday fees during this time are $70, $65, and $45.

Junior Golf Program
Two separate clinics are offered from juniors ages 7-12 and 12-16.

The beginning golfers can learn the basics beginning with full swing fundamentals, grip position, proper posture, and alignment, as well as putting.

Games and contests are added to add to the enjoyment and competitiveness.

The clinic for the 12-16 year age group is to prepare for tournament competition. The practice involves full swing, with additional emphasis on the short game and course management.

2. Golf Club of Jupiter

Your game will be challenged as you test your accuracy hitting the fairways while avoiding the water hazards and sand traps.

The Golf Club of Jupiter has everything you could ask for to improve and challenge your game, all while you take in the magnificent backdrop.

The experience is made complete with great service and a relaxing atmosphere.

The course plays 5649 yards from the white tees and 6235 yards from the blue tees.

How Much Does It Cost at Golf Club of Jupiter?

The Golf Club of Jupiter is one of the most affordable rounds of golf you can find in the local Jupiter area.

Tee times up to 3PM are just $55 and $45 after 3PM. If you wish to play 9 holes, you can play the front 9 for only $29 per person!

Membership isn’t just for low handicap players. Even if you are a beginner, you can take advantage of membership and play the game at a price significantly lower than most in the region.

Membership is limited to 100 members. Fees are $2450 for individuals, $4500 for family (2 members) with a $500 new member initiation fee.

Free GHIN Handicap enrolment and service and one pre-round warm-up bucket and balls are also offered.

Members also get a 30-day advance online tee time reservations and a $95 annual bag storage option. Golf instruction is also available for $50 for half-hour and $90 for an hour.

Group rates per hour are $100 for 2 students, $120 for 3 students, $140 for 4 students, $160 for 5 students, and $180 for 6 students.

Summer camps are also available for both ladies and juniors.

3. Jupiter Dunes Golf Course


Many people complain that golf takes too long and is too expensive. That isn’t the case at Jupiter Dunes Golf Course where prices are affordable to residents of the local Jupiter area and visitors to the county.

Not only can you enjoy the fresh air by the sea, but you can do so in just 2 and a half to three hours.

Located by the ocean on one of Jupiter’s natural estuaries, the course was strategically designed to mimic what you’d find for approach shots on a regulation-sized course. The course is maintained and manicured with the same care as those from private clubs.

Greens are undulating with carefully placed bunkers.

How Much Does It Cost at Jupiter Dunes Golf Course?

You can play 18 holes for $36 and $26 after 3 pm. Junior rates are $17.50 and $12.50.

Cart fees are $15 per person and pull carts are available for $5.50 per person. If you need to rent a set of clubs, you can do so for an additional $25 fee.

Take advantage of the season special, 2 players with a cart from 7 am – 3PM for $80 and $60 after 3PM.

Lessons are available to improve your game with PGA Pro Bill Kriews on staff.

There are several plans that include adults for $50 for half an hour or $90 per hour. A package of 3 half-hour lessons costs $135 and 5 half-hour lessons go for $200.

Juniors can take a half-hour lesson for $25 or package 3 half-hour lessons for $60.

Clinics are expected to come soon with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8 participants for $20 per person per hour. Take advantage of the short game clinic for an hour in December at just $15 per hour.

But you must sign up for the clinic at the golf shop because spaces are limited!
