BombTech is a relatively new brand, arriving on the scene in 2012, but has since grown to become a tried and trusted retailer of unique golf clubs. They manufacture everything from a driver to a putter, each of which has been designed with recreational golfers in mind.
Looking super sleek in black with so many impressive features, BombTech clubs are definitely worth considering if you’re in the market for a new set and you don’t want to break the bank.

What Clubs Does BombTech Make?
BombTech manufactures every golf club in the bag, including a driver and 3 wood bundle, irons set, wedge set, hybrid set, and mallet putter. These golf clubs are aimed at beginner golfers looking to get started with an affordable price bracket.
Below is BombTech’s current range of clubs and the RRP of each:
Club / RRP*
- 3.0 Driver & 3 Wood bundle: $197 – $397
- 3.0 Black iron set: $247 – $497

(* Prices Subject to change)
The reason for the price bracket of each of the clubs is that at the time of writing, BombTech is running an impressive promotion that has seen them slash their prices considerably. The second price in the column above is the RRP.
It’s hard not to be impressed by the design and style of these golf clubs. They’re also built with game improvement in mind and are an excellent option for recreational players looking to enjoy a little more forgiveness out on the course.
You can pick up a brand new golf bag for a great price, so if you’re hoping to completely transform your golf locker with new equipment, then it’s hard to overlook these well-reviewed clubs/
Are BombTech Clubs Any Good?
Yes, because the first thing you notice when you play BombTech golf clubs is the build quality is extremely high. Not only do they look great with their sleek black design and green detailing, but they feel solid in the hands and are forgiving, leaving a little room for mishits.
This is because Bombtech has worked hard to lower the center of gravity of their irons, which provides a higher MOI. The undercut cavity design is ideal for beginners and mid-high handicappers, as it makes it much easier to get the ball off the ground and follow an attractive trajectory.
The BombTech 450CC driver comes with three non-adjustable weights to the heel, toe, and rear of the driver’s sole, which makes it much more aerodynamic than previous models.
Although still incredibly light (the head is just 1g), the placement of the weights further increases the forgiveness on off-center hits and lowers spin.
The wedges are similar to the irons in terms of feel and forgiveness, and the mallet putter gets the job done out on the green.
Overall, for the incredible price that you can assemble a full bag, it’s impossible not to be impressed by the quality of BombTech’s equipment.
Who Owns BombTech Golf?
BombTech Golf is owned and operated by Tyler Sullivan, who founded the company in 2012. The story of BombTech started when Sullivan developed the company’s first driver in April 2013 that he named “the Grenade.”
Sullivan played golf in high school, and after losing his job in engineering, he started experimenting with golf clubs from home.
He grew frustrated with the carbon-copy drivers of the big brands that cost a fortune, which is what motivated him to start this business, hoping to provide top-quality clubs for a fraction of the price of his competitors.
In collaboration with engineering students at the University of Vermont, Sullivan refined his production process and developed a driver that he constructed with a two-piece (rather than four-piece) construction process.
The theory is that such manufacturing improves energy transfer and increases head speed.
This is a unique company in the golf space, as it is owned and operated by one guy! Of course, Sullivan has added to his team as his client base has grown, but he is still very much involved in the entire manufacturing process of BombTech’s drivers and other clubs.
Ultimately, if you’re looking to buy from a brand with personality and a unique story, rather than the generic brands that dominate the golf marketing space, then BombTech is certainly a brand worth considering.
Where Is BombTech Golf Located?
BombTech Golf is located in South Burlington, Vermont. All of BombTech’s golf clubs are hand-assembled in Vermont and can be regarded as US-made in this regard. However, as is the case with many of the biggest golf brands out there, many of the component parts of the clubs are sourced from Asia.
But this isn’t something that should put you off! As mentioned, most golf club manufacturers source parts for their clubs from cheaper markets, as this is how they’re available to the consumer for a reasonably affordable price.
We absolutely love the story behind the brand and think that its unique and charming recent history ensures it’s a totally unique brand in the world of golf today.
Given that the club manufacturing space is dominated by companies with the biggest marketing divisions to see BombTech delivering great results on a comparatively limited budget is impressive.
So, if you’re hoping to buy your golf clubs from an American company that has a unique and interesting backstory, This Vermont-based company is undoubtedly deserving of your consideration.
Are BombTech Clubs Legal?
Yes, BombTech golf clubs are 100% legal according to the specifications stipulated by the USGA and R&A. While you might think that they’re illegal due to the name, you can use these golf clubs out on the course safe in the knowledge that you’re not breaking any rules.
Most golf clubs that are illegal have some type of gimmick, be it an oversized clubface or even a self-swinging mechanism.
While BombTech golf clubs are uniquely manufactured following precise engineering standards, they are gimmick-free and are similar in dimensions and build quality to any other clubs that you can find on the market.
At the time of writing, this golf name has sold more than 600,000 golf clubs to customers across the United States. So, while the brand might not be the first name that comes to mind when you think about golf equipment, they’re reasonably well established and have developed an impressive reputation over the years.
Overall, you can buy a new set of BombTech golf clubs that are perfectly legal to use in recreational and competitive golf.
What About BombTech Coupons?
BombTech often runs impressive promotions and provides attractive discounts on many of its most popular clubs. As mentioned earlier, they often have an incredible site-wide sale, which has slashed many of the prices by up to 50% in some cases.
You don’t need a coupon to take advantage of these offers, as they are applied at checkout.
However, if you happen to visit BombTech’s website at a time of the year when they’re not currently offering a discount on their clubs, you can look to a third-party website like RetailMeNot, where you can look for active coupons.
While discount codes frequently change, in the past, the website has offered deals including 25% off any purchase, $150 off an iron set, and 50% off the mallet putter.
As you can see, it’s undoubtedly worth looking for a coupon, as you can save yourself a significant amount of money on your golf club’s purchase.
