2006 Tournament Schedule
2006 WINDTREE MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
1. 2006 Membership Fee $100.00 –
Allocated as follows:
*Added Prize Money for 10 Official WMGA
Tournaments
*Establishing/Adjusting U.S.G.A. Handicap on
GHIN Network
*Special Awards (Player of the Year, Senior Player of the Year)
2. Association limited to the first
400 applicants / Tournaments limited to the first 144 entries.
3. Ball to play as it lies at all
times for posting scores and tournament play, except when instructed
otherwise.
4. To minimize inconveniences, players
please notify the Pro Shop 24 hours in advance to withdraw from a
tournament.
7. Players not having a U.S.G.A.
handicap will be assigned one by the tournament committee for the
first two
tournaments. After the first two tournaments, a player must have an
established U.S.G.A. handicap to compete.
It is
the key ingredient to producing competitive events that are truly
fair for every participant.
8. Prizes for all tournaments to be gift certificates
redeemable in the Pro Shop for merchandise only. Those who
redeem
their Gift Certificates on the day of an event will receive an
extra discount, greater than the WMGA
10%
discount.
9. Hole In One Prizes will be limited to whatever is in the
pot up to $2,500.00. Anything
over $2,500 will go towards
the next Hole-In-One Pot. If multiple Hole-In-Ones are hit during
the same day the pot will be divided equally among those
participants that hit the Hole-In-One.
10. SENIOR WMGA MEMBERS – Senior Members (55 years of
age & older) may choose to play the Yellow Tees. With exception of
the Par 3’s which must be played from the White Tees, this is to
make it fair for the Hole-In-One Prize. Once a player moves up to
the Yellow Tees that is where their handicap will be permanently
establish from. In light of this there will be a Senior Player of
the Year awarded, completely separate from the Player of the Year
Award. Members playing the Senior Tees will not be eligible for the
Player of the Year Award. The Senior Player of the Year will be
added to the Windtree WMGA Roster for the Wilson Cup Matches against
Lebanon Country Club.
11. PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD: Based on points earned
in Gross division only of designated events.
